Getting ready to purchase new radiator. Current radiator has some tabs that allow the aluminum shroud (riveted to square tube) to tuck in behind the bend. Not sure if new radiator will be built the same way, would like to see detailed photos of how others finished this area.
Mark II if it matters.

accobra66,
Maybe it's just me, but I am not quite sure which alum you are referring to. Is it the front peices that surround the radiator (three peices) one at the bottom from rad to nose and one on each side from rad to body to create front shround. If so, I have pics of that. Please clarify. Thanks, WEK.

Sorry about that, yes...it is the three pieces that surround the radiator. Specifically the two on the sides that I am looking for pictures of.

How you secure your new radiator depends on the exact size and configuration, but finishing off the area around it can be done with a smooth 1-piece "nose job" started by Mike DeGuire. I got a sheet (.025?) from Lowe's, made a cardboard template and then cut the piece of aluminum. This bends without creasing to fit through the nose and then springs open to hug the sides. I added split clear tubing to the edge contacting the radiator screen and fastened the front with rivets through the body at the lower lip.

Wow that looks great. I like that there are no rivets that can be seen and it is so clean.
