Looking for ideas

Hey guys, on my build I omitted the seats. I personally like both the bench and the buckets but I really want to try something new. I am curious to see what you guys have run and feel free to throw out any suggestions you might have. I really would like to do something different. I plan to make a custom center console around whatever seats I go with.

Due to the pedal placement, especially if it's a stick, the truck is most comfortable with the seats up off of the floor so that you're seated in a more chair like position rather than with your butt low. Don't worry, there's plenty of headroom. I've been in the pickup with various seats; Kirkey vintage lowbacks, the roadster seats and the bench. For me the bench is by far the most comfortable. If you go with something else I suggest you use that as your benchmark.

I went with Carid seats.

I tried a few different seats, but the width of the seat is the critical part in the truck. The roll cage is much narrower than the width of the cab. some of the seats I tried had reclining pivots that would not fit between the drive shaft loop and the roll cage. The second pic here has the dimensions that are tight but do fit.

480mm equals 18.89 inches This narrow width is why many people go with the bench.

SVTFreak built his own seat for his '33 Hot Rod. Kind of a bucket/bench hybrid, IIRC. The process was pretty well documented in his build thread, starting around post #270. You might find something useful in there...
