I’ve purchased the Moroso expansion tank for my MK4 build (Coyote Gen4). My question is can I still use the FFR upper radiator hose with cap and T filler. I’ve purchased the Ford hoses noted by EdwardB. My plan was to put a hose barb over the connector by the cap to block off the FFR setup. Will this work?

If you have the Moroso expansion tank, you won't need a filler on the return to the radiator. That hose - from the engine to the top of the radiator - can be one solid piece. My car is already in winter storage, so I'm doing this from memory rather than looking at the engine... The Moroso tank has a connection, on the bottom, I believe, that goes to the connection at the top of the DS cylinder head where you have the hose for the heater. The small hose at the top of the Moroso tank goes to the DS top of the radiator. There is a check valve there, too, I believe. Hopefully, someone else will have a better description, but the key is you don't need a fill point on the top radiator hose. In fact, you can use the hose found on an F-150 coyote, as that already has the quick connect on the engine end. Hope this helps.

The added cap provided by T-filler isn't necessary. Fill is through the expansion tank. I guess it doesn't hurt anything but I don't know what the effect might be if the added pressure cap vents. Even if you block off the outlet. I personally would avoid it.

Thanks! I’m going to order a new upper hose and ditch my current one then. I’d rather make it like it was meant to work.

I hope you don't mind me piggy backing to your question but I wanted to put my expansion tank in a place where the Moroso tank won't fit. I had actually purchased one from Summit and thanks to their generous return policy was able to return and I am thinking about this Mishimoto tank:

It fits in the triangular space I want to use and I believe will meet the requirements but if anyone sees anything wrong with this option please let me know.

Go with the F150 hose with the Coyote connection at the block.

I was able to use the hose that came with the control pack. Cut the upper hose and used a filler piece of corrugated aluminum. Works and was clean enough for me.
