I have a 3G alternator. I need detailed instructions on how to wire the:
Breeze 3G pig tail
Ron Francis alternator harness
and alternator.
The pig tail came with a diagram, but I can’t make sense of it.

No guarantees as what I found is AI-generated, but see if this description helps.

Wiring Instructions

Main Output Post (B+): This is the large threaded post on the back of the alternator. A heavy-gauge wire (at least 10-gauge) should run from this post to the positive terminal of the battery, often via the starter solenoid's main lug. This is the main charging wire.

Ground: The alternator grounds through its mounting to the engine block/chassis. An auxiliary ground wire from the alternator casing to the frame or battery negative terminal can be added to ensure a solid connection.

Voltage Sense (Terminal #2): This wire is for the internal voltage regulator to monitor system voltage and adjust output accordingly. For a simple setup, this wire can be connected directly to the main output post (B+) on the back of the alternator. For a system with many accessories, it is better to run this wire to a main power distribution point in the vehicle to account for voltage drops across the system.

Exciter/Ignition (Terminal #1): This wire "excites" the alternator's field to initiate charging when the engine starts. It must be connected to a switched 12-volt source, meaning it only has power when the ignition key is in the "run" or "start" position.
Important: An indicator light bulb or a resistor (around 470-500 ohms, 1/2 watt) must be wired in series in this circuit to prevent "backfeeding" power to the ignition system, which can cause the engine to continue running even after the key is turned off. The indicator light will glow when the key is on and the engine is off, and turn off once the alternator begins charging.
