At Ron's request, here are some photos of my driver's side footwell vent using PaulProe's kit. It's mounted at the opening in the front aluminum panel that is used to clear the 3/4" tube. Inside, it's measures about 3/4" in from the outside of the aluminum panel, 3/4" from the 3/4" square tube, and 1 1/2" down from the angled portion of the front steel plate. Note from the outside pictures that the cable connection point is towards the engine and the cable will be routed down to the connection point from above.
