How tight is too tight?

Mocking up the radiator with the breeze mounts (upper + lower) and the passenger side is tight!

You're fine.

thanks for the quick response.

I also forgot to mention that I am setting up the radiator at a 58 degree angle because at 51 degrees the radiator hits the frame. Anyone else have that issue?

Use your nose aluminum side walls, aligned with the quickjack notches, to set the angle.

I tried using the nose aluminum to set the angle. Unfortunately the top corner (passenger side) hits the frame before I can get to 51degrees of angle.

Just a couple ideas, looks like you used bolts to mount the rad to the hinge. You could use rivets and maybe lower the rad on the hinge. Mine was real close and my end pieces did not fit well after install so I had to make my own, don't believe the angle is critical, enough flexibility with the breeze supports. I used rivets and some sealer to attach to the hinge.

Second option you could add a strip of Aluminum between the hinge and radiator increase the space available.

The hinge is too high on the frame?

What your photos show is typical although you could bring it down a bit if it'll make you feel better. I've never measured a radiator angle...I use the nose aluminum sides as a guide like Greg said.

This is with the radiator sitting lower on the hinge. Radiator makes contact with frame at this point.

I ordered another piano hinge that has a width of 2" so we'll see where we land.

As I said, mount the hinge to the two short 3/4' tabs on the cross bar

The radiator angle isn't critical, so make it whatever angle makes sense. "Sense" in this case meaning whatever makes installing your nose aluminum easiest.

My radiator leans way back from vertical. I had to do some serious trimming to the Mike Everson radiator surround. But the car runs cool so all is well.
