I’m mounting my steering arms (paying proper attention to taper, etc). In the relevant hardware bag, I have 8 12mm bolts. 4 are 12 point, 35mm grade 12.9 & 4 are hex head, 50mm grade 10.9. The 12 point bolts are too short for the locknut to engage any thread & the hex heads are tall enough that the upper surface of the bolt head is short of the spindle’s inner bearing surface by less than 5mm.

The manual shows what appears to be a button head bolt? Should I be using that instead? If so, does anyone know the proper size? And do the bolts that I do have properly belong somewhere else?

12 point are for caliper bracket to spindle.
