I just made a post about the Innovate LM1 wide-band meter. I then tried to edit the title (to include this question) but could not, so I'm making a second post. I want to know if I can upgrade an Innovate LM1 sensor from a Bosch LSU 4.2 to a Bosch LSU 4.9. Thanks

This is from a quick search on the mighty internet.

No, Bosch LSU 4.2 and LSU 4.9 O2 sensors are not interchangeable because they have different internal designs, require different wiring and controller setups, and use different connectors. The LSU 4.9 is a newer, superior version that uses a pumping current for its reference instead of the ambient air used by the LSU 4.2.
