Helping a friend in Wichita...he's building a 289. We don't recognize these brackets. Almost look like a hood pin bracket.

I'd say they are hood pin brackets.

They are hood pin brackets. I'd bet that 90% or more of the kits ship with hood hinges but FFR must have had about 10,000 of those brackets produced back about 1999 and just keep sending them out with every kit trying to clear out warehouse space!

Didn't get any with my Mk5 kit. Kind of disappointed. They were useful for fabbing other parts. ;)

I have an early Mk V kit and I didn't get them either. You can never have too much spare metal laying around.
