How much cargo space should I plan on needing when picking up my coupe? Planning on using an 18’ open car trailer pulled by my expedition.. think most of the boxes will fit in the suv, leaving just the frame and body on the trailer?

I know it depends on how many parts are back ordered, and how many parts I included in the kit..

Here is what my pile of boxes looked like on delivery day:

This included the heater and AC, sway bars, Wilwood brakes, but I didn't order seats, wipers, or gauges, and had just a few backordered (POL) parts.

Thanks, similarly I did not get seats, wheels or gauges.. also didn’t get brakes. I imagine putting boxes in the frame and securing them with some heavy duty plastic wrap is an option as well.. would just be a mess if it rained

So I picked up my coupe in August; used a u-haul trailer for the car. Mine was a Canadian kit so I didn't get everything at that time. Just my order, my truck inside and out was jammed! And I was missing some stuff. So if you have a complete kit you may not have enough space

The doors and rear spoiler are laying in the floor of the car and would need to be moved to get any boxes in there. It's not very spacious and the door opening is relatively small, so you may not get many of the boxes in the interior as you think.

I used the Uhaul utility trailer and my SUV. The coupe sat up on the trailer's side rails, so a lot of the boxes fit underneath. But even with that, and the cargo in the SUV, if I had gotten wheels or many other options, it probably wouldn't have fit.

I used a 16’ trailer behind a pickup with a 6.5’ bed. The bed of the truck was full of boxes and a few had to sit in and around the body/frame on the trailer. I bet your setup would be fine.

Be sure to either tighten any loose hardware, or take it off and box it up. A friend picked his roadster up a couple of weeks ago, and lost some of the hardware, it had shaken loose and dropped off.
