Great forum... my very first post too.

I just got this from my DMV today. My car is FFR Roadster #6050 (Mk III), titled in NH as a 1965. Too bad it's held up in the garage until the thaw. Looking forward to spring!

Every forum needs a vanity plate thread. Here are a couple (simulated) I am looking at. I'll probably go with a plain and simple BOOM. My wife's Miata has GIRLIE

For my Type 65 Coupe, I'd like to use NYFAIM but I'm afraid very few would get it.

I am a year or so away from needing one but the decision on that has been made. If available mine will read "4 U DAD".

My father passed away in 1983 and he was the world's greatest FoMoCo fan and he actually pointed out the first 427 S/C I ever saw and made a comment about what it could do. Me, I wasn't really listening as my jaw was on the ground and at the age of 16 I knew that someday I would find a way to have one. Someday has arrived.

Just remember though, New Hampshire defines an antique vehicle as one that's more than 25 years old and used only for parades, exhibitions, car club activities, and other public events. Your insurance company is going restrict you as well with those plates. So you won't be able to just go out for a drive with antique plates. Probably never be an issue until you get into an accident. Mine is now registered as a 1965, but I went with regular vanity plates so I can drive whenever or wherever I want. Just curious did you get it titled as a 1965? Mine is titled as 2002, but registered as a 1965. MY Plate # is FANGS

DARKPT,

That is the license plate that Pete Brock runs on his coupe.

Riptide, from watching the show America's Greatest Race Car, the team affixed those letters to the back of at least one of the Coupes after having the '64 Championship "stolen" from them. It's too obscure for a plate, but I sure like the original gesture.

Illinois allows FFRs to be registered as antique vehicles and once registered that way, we can run a "year of manufacture" plate - i.e., '65. I have my plate already - it's the antique plate in the pic, but I'm also considering running either the CA black plate with '65 sticker or the original IL '65 plate.
