So, I just had one of those oh sh*t moments just now. I went to Trigo's website to get ready to order the pin drive wheels for my 289 car and.... they've been discontinued!!!!! I spoke to the owner and he sald that he pulled the plug on them two months ago due to low demand. BTW Vintage Wheels is also out of stock of the wheels.

Naturally my kit has been configured with the narrow front suspension and Moser rear. I think I can run the pin drive 427 wheels, but I'm not sure and naturally I ordered the car so I could run the 289 wheels. To say I'm not happy is a big understatement.

I know this is a stretch, but if anyone has a set of Trigo 289 pin drive wheels that they aren't planning to use I'd be very interested in buying them - thanks!!!

Rob

PS: I'm going to cross-post this to the Roadster forum in case someone had a lead on wheels....

Spelling fixed (can't edit the subject line ;) ).

So, I just got off the phone with Bob @ Vintage Wheels. It turns out that he's working with another foundry to have the FIA wheels cast. The six-pin wheels are almost done, and he's expecting the five-pin version to be ready in early 2026. Whew!!!! I'm on his list so when they are ready I can place my order. It turns out that Bob is a big fan of the FIA wheels and wants to make sure they're always an option for those of us who want to run them.

Thanks go out to Mike Bray for the suggestion to call Bob. I feel SO much better. After ensuring I could run these rims for my build I couldn't believe they were no longer an option. BTW if you're planning to order the FIA pin drive wheels give Bob a call and he'll put you on his list so you'll be contacted when they are ready.
