This may be a dumb question, but I'm just getting into figuring this car out and hoping to save myself a little time as I've already been on other wild goose chases to solve a few problems. I'll admit that I haven't looked for this yet, but where is the most common spot that people install their after pump fuel filter? I did a search on here, but unfortunately the word "fuel" and "filter" or any combination of it basically makes the search useless without reading every thread that every person has ever posted on this forum.

Backstory:
I just purchased this vehicle with 263 miles on it and unfortunately 2 injectors were bad and the other 6 were grossly out of spec. The person I spoke with at Injector Dynamics specifically asked what fuel filter I'm using, and if it is a 10 micron stainless steel, to immediately change it to 10 micron cellulose. I confirmed after found receipts that it is a 10 micron stainless steel filter and they pointed to this being the likely culprit of why these injectors crapped out so quickly. He strongly recommended changing this filter PRIOR to installing the new injectors or I could just as easily muck those up in a few seconds.

Any guidance would be appreciated as the new injectors arrived today and the filter will be here tomorrow. I'm excited to begin enjoying my new car, but I want to make sure I do things properly.

Many of us install it at rear of the car across one of the trunk cross members. See my build (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?48937-Wedel456-s-Build-Thread-Gen3-Coupe-North-Carolina&p=571977&viewfull=1#post571977) here that demonstrates where I believe most install:

Thank you @wedel456 . Looks like I'll have to access that from the underside of the car, not through the top side of the trunk. Hopefully it won't be more challenging than that. Looks like I need to make a run to the car parts store and buy a hydraulic jack and stands. I was planning on doing this at some point soon but I guess now will be the time.

I used one of the higher trunk cross members and mounted the filter towards the right side - if I need access, I figure on being able to take the right rear wheel off and to reach it over the upper control arm. In case you're wondering, the return fuel line is just laid there, I haven't fixed it in yet so it's not properly routed or clipped. 220333220332

After pump 10 micron stainless steel fuel filter is now replaced with a cellulose one. There was an unbelievable amount of sediment in the filter as well as the out fuel line going to the injectors. No wonder why two injectors failed and the other 6 were out of spec. I'm glad I waited on installing the new injectors till after I changed that filter. Car fired up and sounded great!
