On early builds (doner car) Mark 1, did FF suggest landing points for chassis grounds on the wiring harness or was it up to the builder to choose a location? I'm having an issue with what I believe is a bad ground on my turn signals (fast blinking for L/R but hazard blinks normal speed?) I'm having a hard time finding grounds coming off the harness near the front or back of the car. I build a 1941 Willy's coupe (all FG) 30 years ago and I dropped ground pig tails out of the harness to the frame on all 4 corners as well as off the main harness behind the dash/firewall etc to avoid ground issues since it was all glass.

So far I found 1 stud on the 3/4" square tube under the master cylinder that has 4-5 ring terminals coming off of a wire harness junction? before I tear into my dash or parts of the neatly loomed/wrapped harness's I figured I'd ask you guys for your opinions on the issue or where grounding points may have been suggested back then?

Why not test the connections you already have? My fav method is to use a 55 watt headlight bulb with some jumper wires attached to it.

It takes good wiring / connections to make a headlight bulb light up brightly. If it is dim, you found an issue.

Connecting one lead directly to battery power and the other to the existing ground. the headlight bulb will tell you if it is good or not.

Same for the power side, connect one lead to a known good ground and the other to the hot wire.

good little trick, another member told me if all the bulbs are good it could be the relay for the flashers and that I could try a heavy duty electronic relay. i found the relay so thats easy to do. part of the pit fall of buying a car someone else built, you have to figure out how they went about building it.
