Hey folks, I continue to plug away on a few things with the Cobra. I am getting my ducks in a row to wire and install seat heaters and wanted to have the seats mounted for this. Do you guys mount the FFR roadster seats directly to the chassis or do you recommend something as an intermediate solution? I came across the Breeze mounts, does anyone use or recommend those?

Just looking for input. For reference, this is on my MK3 Roadster.

Thanks
Todd

I've had Breeze seat mounts on both my builds. Highly recommend them. Pretty easy to adjust fore and aft seat position by lifting the seat cushion and removing a few (4) bolts. If I remember correctly, there's four sets of holes available providing about 2.25 inches of adjustment. The bases also provide about 7 degrees of rearward tilt, making sitting in the seats more comfortable versus having them bolted directly to the floor.

I installed the Breeze mounts as well. I installed the CobraHeat seat warmers with no issues. I was told to wait on the final seat mount until the body position is finalized, so that’s what I did.

The Breeze mounts put the seats at a good angle (for my preference anyway) and are easy to mount.

On the Breeze mounts how high is the front lip? 1 inch or is it more?

Mark says to emulate what his seat mounts would be, put a 2x4 under the front of the seat.

I looked at the Breeze mounts and decided to make my own set so I could mount them anywhere rather that using the supplied mount points. I installed the FFR seat adjuster on the Drivers seat. I'm 6'2" so I needed the whole seat raised with a rearward tilt. Now it fits me perfectly with the seat all the way back against the rear bulkhead. I installed Dorman seat heaters from Summit. Great value, they have high and low settings and come with relays pre wired.
