THE EAGLE HAS LANDED ! Hot dog my coupe is home ….. Mark the driver did me a solid by delivering her today despite it being kinda late …. Which I was super grateful for . By the way this thing is wicked …. I’ve never seen a coupe before in person so to lay my eyes on her to say the least was a surreal experience.. love at first sight comes to mind …. Super stoked to knock out this inventory and get to work attached are a few pics from the delivery220030220031

It's a great day Mark, I remember it well. I too had never seen one in person until mine was delivered.

A piece of unsolicited advice - if you save your pictures or resize them or both, prior to uploading, you won't have the rotational problem your pictures are exhibiting. Also, once you embed them you can double click on each and resize them as desired.

Awesome! Mine was delivered on a cold January night, but grateful I didn't have to wait one more day. Add me to the list of having never seen a coupe before mine was delivered, although shortly after I was able to visit Paul and get a good look at his.

Thanks Dave …. Super excited to get to work on this thing … already knocked out inventory and to FF credit everything was accounted for that wasn’t on my POL list except for my steering linkage spring washers . Other than that we are good to go .. was doing some new car goofing today and laid the wheels in the wheel wells for motivation … very happy with my delivery driver Mark he did sort of a late night delivery for me last night and said it was my enthusiasm to get my car that kept him driving well into the evening … Overall this has been a great experience for me so I understand why guys like Paul and yourself have done multiple builds.. 220048220049220050

The wheels look great! I'm also considering the Forgestar's, but in either a gloss gunmetal or chrome/polished finish. What specs/sizes did you go with on yours?

So I did 19x10’s in the front and 19x12’s out back … I went with snowman’s specs on the wheels repository posted by Logan a while back …. Pretty sure Jim stone did the same only his wheels are gloss black and they look killer! So I couldn’t leave well enough alone so after dinner I went back out to the shop and assembled front and rear shocks and mocked up the Coyote power steering rack. Btw I cut off 1 3/4 on either side of that rack as per the instructions (inner tie rod ends) is that what you did ? 220078220079

I had to come to a dead stop tonight because my POL list has my brakes and front lower control arms on it …. Once FF gets me the rest of my parts it should go together pretty quickly! LETS GO BABY !

Mark - I don't think I cut anything off my steering rack. I thought those directions were for the donor rack only?

That’s not good …. May have made a boo boo then …. I was pretty sure in the instructions it said if you haven’t already cut the inner tie rod ends from a donor to go and cut them now before installing a new power rack …. I will double check again but thanks for the heads up

I'm looking at the setup that Shakey used, 18x10 on the front and 19x12 on the rear in the ultra-deep concave.

On the rack, I didn't cut the tie rod ends. I think that instruction is for a donor rack. You need to skip past the first several sections in the manual if you aren't using a donor.

220082…. I thought I was doing the right thing there oh well live and learn I suppose

That's from the donor section. The non-donor steering rack instructions are much further into the manual.

You may still be okay. When I set the rack for the rough alignment length, my tie rod ends are threaded on quite a bit.

I hope so … I checked the the dimension on the temporary alignment which is 53 1/16 see attached photos 220083220084220085 I do have an equal amount of threads showing on each side on the inner tie rod ends as well about 1”

Pretty sure you ARE supposed to cut the rack. Unless you use the pass through style tie rods like from Paul's build thread. If you use the FFR supplied tie rods, you have to shorten the ends.

Back and forth -- here's my advice. Don't cut anything based only on manual instructions. Not knocking it. But there are just too many variables. Mock up then cut when you're sure. That applies to the entire build.

Hey all …quick question … does anyone know what size bolts we are supposed to use to hang the IRS rear differential the manual is unclear…. Was just trying to locate and prep all the parts for install this weekend and can’t figure out the specs on those …. Thanks in advance!220112

Here you go from a post by Paul:

(2) M14-2.0 x 100 flange head bolts
(2) M16-2.0 x 130 flange head bolts
(2) M16 x 2.0 deformed thread flanged locknuts. (mine were Nyloc nuts, not deformed thread nuts)

The longer bols are the lower/front bolts that get nuts. The shorter thread into the diff housing.

Don't forget to locate and install the rear sway bar mounts while you are doing the IRS arms.

I put this list together based on my build of 2022/23. I don't know if anything has changed since then. I suggest it be used as a guide but be aware there might have been changes since then.
