So I was working in the garage today - doing prep work for my 289 kit delivery. Last week I had ordered some brake parts and they were supposed to be delivered by Fedex in the next day or so. So... I wasn't very surprised when a Fedex guy walked up my driveway this afternoon and wanted to know where I wanted my package. I said I'd take it right now, after all, it's just brake pads and rotors. He looked at me a little strangely and said it might be a bit bigger than brake parts. Then I walked out of my garage and saw a Fedex semi sitting on my street. It turns out that my Moser axle was being delivered! I wish I knew it was coming, and luckily, I was home when the driver came by. It didn't occur to me that although my kit is being delivered by Stewart next month, that the axle would come sooner. I'm surprised that Factory Five didn't give me a head's up, but it all worked out OK.

Now it's getting real...

Congratulations! One less thing to worry about other than where to put it.

I used all the lumber to build a temporary table to inventory and build some cribbing to set the axle on temporary until I put it in the car

I have to say - I am impressed with the quality of the wood they used for the crate! If it was pressure treated I'd probably use it as a planter :D

I was planning to feed the crate to my Solo stove, but I might repurpose it for some shelves in my shed - it's pretty decent quality.
