This question mainly goes out to those of you with your body on your chassis. I purchased a rear view mirror/camera that looks both forward and aft. After lowering my car to almost ride height, I am guessing the spoiler is approximately 24" off the ground where it attaches to the body. This is also where I was originally thinking I would mount the rear facing camera. That seems like a non-starter to me since it's so low.
Now I am contemplating mounting it to the rear upper roll bar of the cockpit but I don't really know where the sight line is as my body is off and in storage. So, a couple of questions:
Does the body roll down over the roll bar and occlude anything mounted to it (either top or bottom)
If it does, would mounting the camera to the body directly above the rear glass make more sense?
Or lastly, would gluing it to the glass with mirror adhesive be a better solution?
Any and all comments, ideas or feedback welcome.
