Texas to Mississippi Road Trip

I did a search for a map of owners but couldn't find one. Just wondering if anybody along my route would be comfortable enough to send their phone number or something incase I run into any trouble. I'll be taking a road trip October 3rd to visit family and go to "cruisin the coast" in Biloxi, returning Oct 5th. This will be the first long road trip I'll be taking with the car. I'll be along I-10 mostly and using I-12 from Baton Rouge to Biloxi. If theres anyone along this route, Id greatly appreciate it. I'd be glad to offer you my number but, alas, I live in South Carolina. Have you thought about a good AAA policy? I had one years ago when I lived in Connecticut (I let it lapse when I moved). I do remember it also covered my motorcycle (this coverage varies depending on state of issue).... they once picked up me and my motorcycle about an hour away from my home. I was on my way to vacation at a friend's place in Maine when I had an electrical problem. They brought me and the bike to Maine as I knew I could fix it there. No charge.
