Looking at safety hoop options and came across this one that looks clean. It mounts to the TKX directly, so I'd be interested to hear if anyone has used it in a Type 65 build.

Looks like this mount between the transmission and the transmission mount. So it is also a bit of a spacer. Might change your driveline angle a bit.

I bought that one but it would not fit in my coupe build. The hoop and the plate sat too high and was rubbing against the driveshaft. I have it sitting in a box in the garage.

Thanks guys! It looked like a clean, easy bolt-on, but there are other proven options that I can go with.

I purchased the Summit generic that I believe Paul used. I was just fitting it up this morning and it's going to work well. Given the price point, I am pretty pleased with the quality. It does require cutting and drilling.

I used the same one on my build: Driveshaft Safety Loop (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?48937-Wedel456-s-Build-Thread-Gen3-Coupe-North-Carolina&p=570470&viewfull=1#post570470)

Just make sure that you test your cuts with your panel placement: Driveshaft Safety Loop - Panel Fitment Fix (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?48937-Wedel456-s-Build-Thread-Gen3-Coupe-North-Carolina&p=571376&viewfull=1#post571376)

That's a great call out. I just marked my for cutting and didn't consider the floor panel placement at all. Thanks for sharing.

I used it on my coupe and it fit just fine.
