I asked this in my build thread but to help get an answer a lil faster I'll ask here... I'm a bit low with my Coyote install in my Mk4
The bottom of the Tremec bell housing is about 1/4" below the frame rail, the oil pan is flush with the bottom of the rail.

Here's the facts:
Gen 3 Coyote,
FFR coyote install package,
1/2" FFR shims in both motor mounts,
no shim in the back with the trans (yet) as I have not installed the DS and set angle. - Shim helps level the pan / hurts crank pully clearance
Bel housing 1/4" to 3/8" below frame
Crank pulley has 1/4" clearance to the top of the cross member tube.

I think the engine just needs to move up and the Chassis weld in mounts are somehow low.
I plan on calling FFR today to get their take, but I'd like to get the community perspective also.
I've read about the Whitby spacers and they were used back in the day before the internal spacers. Just odd that I might need both.

Should I install the DS get the spacer correct then add engine mount spacer if necessary?

Thanks for the help.

This is accurate. You have the spacers in the mounts that bring the pan near flush to the frame rails. Most trim that part of the bell housing flush to the frame.

Even the crank pulley to the X-member? Thanks.

Everything I see in your photos looks normal to me. 1/4” on the pully is what I have. More than enough clearance.

Normal to me too. No surprise to have to cut a bit on the bell housing. I've done it a couple times. Wait until you have the pinion angle dialed in with the trans spacers as needed. Raising the engine could bring unintended consequences like header/side pipe alignment, pinion angle problems, trans hitting on the underside of the tunnel, etc. Lots of cars built with your combination of parts. It works.

You guys are awesome. Thanks. I'll post up results once I set pinion for future folks.

UPDATE:
The engine cant clear the frame, puts the DS in too much of a bind. So it will have to hang below the frame. Oil pan is 1/16" low at the back edge, the bell housing is down 3/8". I'm gonna add some rub strips on the bottom of the frame.
Pinion settled in at -3 front / +4 rear, close as I could get it and used 7/8" shim off the trans mount.
