Has anyone used the Lucas style L692 taillights on a MKIV that came with the rectangular taillights?
If so, how did you modify the taillight mounting pad to fit the round taillights?

I assume that you are aware that those were used on all roadsters including the Mk4 up until 2020. No mods necessary other than drilling holes for the lamp holder base and mounting studs.

Jeff, I have the L692 and L691 lights and have drawn the outline of the chrome bezels to the mounting pads on the MKIV,... I believe the chrome bezel of the L692 and L691 is 3 1/4". It appears the mounting pad is too small for the round taillights... although, I have not attempted to mount them only a rough "outline" of the mounting base. If the pads need no modifications that would be great news!!!

Maybe this will help. Also, I think the manual may have a template for the round tail lights layout.
The pads do seem a little small.
