Anyone using the powerstop z36 brake kit with 5 lugs on a fox body brake system?

I use Powerstops on all my performance cars (other than the Cobra, because I have Wilwoods), and Ive been very pleased with their low-dust and braking performance. I usually use Z26s

Have the Z26 full package including calipers. FWIW swapped out the pads for HAWK 5.0 100-750 F operating temperatures, 100-550 F optimal temperature range. Have also run HP+ but found in a lot of cases they don't heat up enough to be all round good on the street in cold weather, 100-800 F operating temperatures 300-600 F optimal temperature range

Bear, MPersanis,
I have the Powerstop 13” slotted and drilled 2018 Mustang GT IRS rears and 2004 Cobra 2 piston fronts, with Z26 pads. As I put in my build thread last night I am just getting used to them-not sure if the heavy foot I need is just me getting used to non-power-assist brakes or the 13” brakes never heating to the effective range of the z26 pads?

Bear is that what you saw too?
Are your brakes the same as mine?
You like the HP 5.0 over the HP+, interesting?

Have the large Cobra brakes but not an IRS rear. Mine is a 3 link so I would think the brakes are close enough for government work. I was not happy with the pads that came with the package as they took a long time to stop with heavy foot pressure on non-power brakes. Switched to the Hawk pads & went through a couple of iterations. HPS/HPS good stops not two dirty. The AutoX swap HP+ in rear HPS front. Better stopping but dirty.

With manual steering & an old fart drive was not competitive in XP class. Since it was a fun car daily driver swapped all 4 HPS/HP+ to 5.0's all round.. They split the difference between the HPS/HP+ in performance but are pretty clean.

Regardless the manual brakes are going to need a lot more push power on the pedal but I can get the car to stop in just under100ft from 65mph. Marked the street so am hoping I hit the start point dead on.

FWIW in the BMW performance drive school consistently had the shortest stopping distance in the class driving their cars.

I had good luck with the Hawks from the get go so I stayed with them. That said based on comments of other guys there are a number of pad brands that are very good so you might want to shop around.

HP+ after a week or so

*Cleaned with Outlast & dry paper shop towel

*could be misleading. Outlast was an Armor All Wheel Protectant, now discontinued that you sprayed onto clean wheels to help preventing the brake dust from getting a good grip on the wheel. Had a number of cans but have run out. Looking for a good replacement.
