While at the 30th Open House, i attempted to climb into the silver prototype MV with the hardtop. I had sat in this car previously without a top. With a top, there didn't seem to be any way I could get in, and even if I did, they might have had to call the fire department to get me out. I am 6'5. I think a removable steering wheel could help, but I am not sure that works with the new self-cancelling turn signal rig. Had anybody dealt with this yet?

LOL. I think you need to video entry and re-entry. :p NRG has one that everyone has been using. I don't know why it wouldn't work in the MKV as one part attaches to the hub and the other the steering wheel, as long as you have the hub drilled out to the correct screw pattern.

Or you can get an nrg steering wheel and the pattern just works.

The self-cancelling turn signal switch that FF has designed for the Mk5 is inboard of where the NRG quick release hub would be. Should be OK.

I have an NRG QR hub (picked it up on eBay) installed and paired with the FFR leather steering wheel, along with the Microflex turn signal stalk powder coated in black. Looks great….has not been road tested yet. I got a jig from a forum member that made matching the holes up easier, but It can be done with out it.
