MK5 Build in New York Newb

Hey everyone. I am about to start the process of purchasing the MK5 kit and corresponding Coyote / Transmission combo and have some questions more specifically about New York Registration.

I see the MK5 build offers catalytic converter option for the Gen3 Coyote but not the Gen4 Coyote on the website. Is it possible to add the Catalytic converters to run with the Gen4 Coyote package they currently offer?

Also for registration in New York is the Steel Bumper option a requirement? Ive seen several MK4 builds in new york without the steel bumper.

Hey, LSX, in Montgomery here, you will need front and rear bumpers, either the overriders or the full set, looking forward to your build, finishing up a MK4 on my side

The process on paper is much more intimidating than in real life. However there are some things to look out for. I am in Schenectady County.

But to your specific question what bil1024 said is correct. Either overriders or quick jacks count as bumpers.
