I’m not running fenders on my truck and I’m determining how to mount the front headlights. My assembly manual doesn’t cover this scenario. I’’m planning to mount them on the side of the radiator cowl and I’m wondering if others have mounted the headlights such that the mounting stud goes through one of the pre-existing holes in the radiator support bracket? The assembly manual shows for fender mounting the headlights, the mounting hardware just sandwiches the fiberglass fender and I’m sure that’s plenty strong. The examples I see in build threads mount the lights on the side of the cowl approximately in the location of this mount, so I’m curious if they’re mounting through he radiator support for a little more strength. Thx

I should clarify that I’m running the standard grill setup, not the deluxe grill. In the FF gallery, I see that the example fenderless trucks appear to be mounting their headlight studs through the radiator support because the cowl is narrower and doesn’t cover the radiator support.

One of the holes in the radiator mount bracket is 1/2 inch and is intended for the headlight mount. You should have also received a baggie with two spacers, cut at an angle, a piece of wire( I think a blue wire) and two rubber washers. These are for mounting the headlights as you are suggesting.

I mounted mine on the radiator support arm. I had to drill another hole in the bracket to avoid hitting the deluxe grill setup.
