My Parts Order List has my Certificate of Origin and my Nameplate
Is it common for FFR to mail these separately?

Yes. I read on here at some point and it is in line with my experience that those arrive after everything else on your POL has been delivered.

They send the MSO and plate later. You'll get it.

Thank you. I wasn’t worried, just curious. It’s kind of overwhelming at thirst when all, this stuff shows up at your doorstep :)

I just placed my order last week.
I got an email with a video link that explained the entire process.
Check your email, I'm guessing you received one when you placed your order too.
It was informative of the entire process.

X2 that it's at the end of the delivery process. Usually after all the POL items are delivered. But if you have parts that are going to be longer (e.g. Mk5 30th Anniversary wheels... :() they'll send it before. Received my Mk5 Certificate of Origin and name plate about 4 weeks after kit delivery.

Yes, I got the email 3 months ago. There is a lot of info to digest throughout the process. Never hurts to ask. Also wouldn’t hurt if they re-mentioned in the paperwork delivered with the kit. The paperwork mentions a Backfill Box where they supposedly put items that were previously on Backorder but were able to include right before the kit shipped. I don’t think I have a Backfill Box because some of the items they listed as Backordered are inside the boxes they were originally intended for.
The paperwork also has fine print that says to wait 15 days after delivery before contacting them about missing parts.
I’m only about 6 boxes into inventory so far, about 30 more to go LOL. Extra parts so far include 2 Center Dash Supports and 6 knockoff spinners for the Halibrand wheels, and I’m missing my Upper Axle Mount for the 3-link, indicated as shipped on their paperwork.
I’m not complaining, just sharing my experience as I go through the process

RE: Certificate of Origin and number plate. Way back in 2007 when I built my first they used to include them in the box with the final backorder shipment (and put them in a manilla envelope than blended in so well with the reams of brown paper that they nearly got thrown away!). Then they started mailing them. I got my Mk5 in December and a couple of week s later I received an email from Pitney Bowes telling me that I had something coming from Factory Five. Seemed odd since they have always used FedEx and I even asked Jim S. if he knew what was coming---he didn't. A few days later an envelope arrived and to my surprise it was the COO and plate! So heads up, looks like that's how it's being done now.

Your experience, and others with a similar one, is allegedly why FFR now sends the COO and plate after the fact...they were getting lost in the piles of boxes! At least that's what I was told when I ordered my MkIV. I nearly tossed my MkIII COO and plate back in 2004 when I took delivery. Thankfully, I had Richard Oben at my house helping with delivery and inventory.
