Hey, all!

I don't have an FFR car, mine is a Unique. I have a 351W, Holley 4150 carb. The fuel electric fuel pump on my car was only pushing 2 pounds of pressure, replaced it with a Summit external electric pump. The pressure is set at 7 pounds and that's fine but the pump is loud enough that I can hear it over the sound of the exhaust when the car sits at idle. Its just way too loud. Model SUM-3136-1.

The old pump was just a few clicks on startup, this one is a continuous GRRRRR all the time. We put a 3/4 inch rubber pad under the pump and that only reduced the noise a bit.

Reading the reviews today, this is a common complaint for this pump....

What pump do some of you run? What brands have you had good luck with that aren't so noisy they make you want to drive off a cliff?

Thanks!

I have a holley blue, regulated down to 3.5 lbs for the webers....

The first one lasted 17 years, The replacement has been on the car for six years.

I can hear it when the key is turned to run, but not when the car is running.

I will be using the same pump again.
