I have built the pedal box and attached it to the chassis, but it looks like pedals will travel through where the front aluminium panel will be in footwell. Is this okay? I have heard pedal to the metal as a phrase, but wasnt sure if its okay on this build. If this does mean travel is too much, how do i shorten it?

Thank you.

Chris

Normal for them to swing that much when first installed. Brake pedal will stop after 2-3 inches once they're bled. Clutch pedal may need a stop depending on your setup. Nothing to do or worry about at this point.

Are they attached to the master cylinders and throttle linkage? If not they will swing freely. Make sure you shorten the MC threaded rod the correct amount and adjust the pedals once attached. I have mine within a 1/4" of the 3/4" forward cross brace when at rest and move back with plenty of space from there. You may want to fabricate a gas pedal stop so you don't put too much stress on your throttle linkage once it achieves full throttle blade opening. I did an easy one you can find in my build thread (see link below). The brake and clutch pedals shouldn't need a pedal stop.
