Body work

Have 400 shake down miles on the roadster. Hood, trunk and doors fitted but may need a little trimming to get a solid 1/4” gap. Parting line mold wax removed, I am going to start the body work. I thought I saw an old post saying the windshield needed to be attached while doing to body work. Is that correct? I would like to remove it, but won’t if it needs to be on the car.

Ditto Jeff.
You'd just scratch it up, and you need to sand and prep under the windshield. I took the body off for 90% of the body work. I only put it back on the chassis to set all the gaps.
