I just talked to the painter and made a committment to deliver the body to him for final block sanding and paint on 2 June. I've been following quite a few of the bodywork threads here and at the other FF site, so I have an idea of what I need to do, but now the reality of it has set-in and I realized that I have to get busy.

I'm not too far away from first start and go-kart (some plumbing, linkages, and wiring), but I haven't done anything on the body. I think a shopping trip to the local body supply outlet is in order for a bunch of Rage and other products.

So far, I'm planning on the following:

Rolled cockpit edges, wheel well and door lips
Hidden body mounts
Gess trunklid (similar to Mk4 shape)
Hidden trunk hinges (Breeze)
Traditional hood hinge (Breeze)
Remove molded-in hood scoop, extend hood surface a few inches, and replace with rivet-on (with Metalmorphous treatment on inside of scoop)
Aluminum rear arch spats
Rectangular (Lucas) taillights with recontoured mounting pad location
Lift-the-Dot fasteners and ferrules for FFR tonneau, soft-top, and side curtains (reinforced underside)
Line-X bedliner for inside of body (at least around wheels)
Filled doors - i.e., low-expansion foam
Body-color side louvers (**********)

Ultimately, 7074 is going to have a mostly S/C appearance, in solid British Racing Green (at least a version of it using a '60s standard Ford color) and NO stripes.

The plan is to keep pushing on the chassis for the next couple of months, then shift over to bodywork at the end of April when the other guys sharing the hangar with me move their stuff out for the summer - I'm planning on making quite a mess.
