What do most of you folks set the ride height on for your Roadster? We are looking at 5" to give our side pipes a little more clearance. Is that to much?
Thanks Cleve

Your timing is perfect…..I was just wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking the question. My wheels just touched the ground for the first time this afternoon and I will be attempting a first start in the driveway tonight or tomorrow.

IMO that's way too high. I have mine set to 3-3/4" front and 4-1/8" rear and I feel like the front wheel to arch gap is still too big but I don't dare go much lower or I'll be dragging on everything.

4" front, 4.5" rear
whatever height you choose, I made blocks out of 2x4s to help get the height the same side to side as I found it hard to measure w/ a tape under the car.

3 3/4” to 4” in front and 4” to 4 1/4” in the rear. 5” is much too high unless you plan on doing some off roading :)

3 3/4 all the way around. I like the squatty look in the rear. I did the same as egchewy79 but with smaller blocks.

If you have ball flange FFR headers, you can raise or lower your sidepipes relative to the ground. You don't need to raise them by raising the entire car.

I'm at the build school this weekend and we covered this yesterday on the MK5.
Todd had us set the initial starting ride height at 4.5 inches but said his car is lower and that's what he prefers.
We used wood blocks that were precut to set it.
Todd said his car is closer to 3.5 inches

My hi-tech ride-height assessment tools. So easy to stick in under the car from either the front or rear.

I'm using 4 1/4" front, 4 3/4" rear. Works pretty well. I started at 4 1/2" front and 5" rear and after a couple hundred miles it settled to where it is now.

I've thought about lowering it some as I do like the look, but I have already scraped the bottom of the frame crossmember on a random back road and want that to happen as seldom as possible. The wheel well gaps seem reasonable, although another 1/2" lower would look rad.

I'm going a little beefier than most. I have it set to 4 in the front and ultimately will land between 4 1/2- 4 3/4 in the rear. . I have aggressive offsets that push my wheels past the fender edge. I will be living a little higher as a result.

My next one is going to have an 8' lift and knobby tires. Gonna be a scrambler. :)

I bought an actual ride height gauge.

Hey, this is my first time setting a ride height and I want to dial it in before pulling the body for the last time before priming/painting. My son and I roughed it in per the instruction book but never went back to complete it. Thanks for the information in this post. I have read other posts that go into some of the procedure for setting the height (unload suspension for initial adjustment, etc). My questions, and sorry for my ignorance, do the ride height values you all have posted include the body with all trim/accessories, AND driver/passenger "dummy weight" added to the car when setting the ride height? Also. do I need to disconnect the sway bar(s) when doing the adjustment (I read this in one post). We have a front sway bar, and a rear one with our IRS.

Thanks for any guidance.

I'm no where close to this point of the build (finished inventory, away for almost a month, then build school).

But I plan to use something like this, which I already own for my mowing needs @ $10 - Amazon Blade Height Tool (https://www.amazon.com/HD-Switch-Extended-Leveling-490-900-0041/dp/B097S5J72Z/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2MPTDXCFB5DQT&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.9OiHVzNuZezDraRb7o3x_DO3W6jngAFBW RqUOMF3zbzPNjKGggXuqo9MTWQO6-VkY8Aviq_eXrPv4bvbBCuk7z03VN_iQ7-PYpz_Og_UZFspuFY_WPg5_mirp6RVRE3_X3veF1q0e0sJQymxO vHOi5sP7levVGs3xZFDoCykfNgem69ZX48dXK2aj-at0akC0ehk9PCy17tyNfEEbRvqSfPWzyAXPKuEV9rjzDDMfoY. hZNchM0ae0QGre7Y7IIARXkCqtXAhvRHLOXPG2Ln9kM&dib_tag=se&keywords=lawn+mower+blade+height&qid=1756899687&sprefix=lawn+mower+blade+heigh%2Caps%2C306&sr=8-4)
