Wghat is the general consensus about the turkey pan air cleaner assembly? I think they look cool, it if sealed by foam molding to the hood when closed does it actually add functionality? I am still working on my ignition issue, but have been thinking about this. All the money is wasted changing out Sniper1 to Sniper2 and then to carb , I could have purchased the stack injection system, but I don’t think there is anyone close to where I live that could tune it.

From experience, almost all issues with stack EFI systems are hardware related. Cheap Chinese stack systems Like Speedmaster have loads of problems with vacuum leaks, sticking throttle blades, etc. And a lot of these systems would come with "self-learning" ECUs like the Fast EZ which do not work with stacks.
Buy a good quality stack system like Borla and a good ECU like a Holley Terminator and it's easier to get running than a Sniper.

I am eventually going to put a turkey pan on my Cobra, I think. In day-to-day driving it is really only for the 'cool' factor. If they seal properly you will probably only see something like a 1-2% increase in horsepower, but the cooler air can only be helpful, right?
I feel your pain on having sunk all that money in EFI and now back to a carb. I had to deal with rebuilding a carb that ended up eating a TON more money than it was worth only to finally give up and swap to a new carb. All that money could have gone to an 8-stack.
I ran in to a guy at the Unique Homecoming this year that had just put in Inglese 8 Stack on his BB 427 and was not happy with it. He was considering going back to a single 4bbl carb.
Sometimes simpler is better but I lots of folks have had really good results with EFI after Sniper I, I am just reluctant to try...

Ingelese uses Borla and Holley, it's good stuff. My 8 stacks starts at the hit of the key, idles at 900 and down to 750 when warmed up, has a big lopey cam, and runs great in all areas. But yeah, let's blame the EFI.

Jim also uses Weber 48 IDA carbs and has decades of experience with them.
