Photos from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion (Laguna Seca Raceway)

I just got back from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion that's held every year at Laguna Seca Raceway, and I wanted to share a few photos. I've been to this event several times now, and it's always an incredible day. It's like an automotive museum has come to life. Listening to these vintage cars being driven as they were meant to be is such a glorious thing.

First off, here's a shot of the Porsche 963 RSP, a one-off street-legal version of the 963 race car that Porche built just for Roger Penske.

This year's event celebrated F1 cars through the years, with a huge display of cars from various eras. Many of these also got out on track. Listening to the V12's screaming never gets old.

Getting to walk around the paddock and see the cars up close and talk to the drivers and crew is the best part of this incredible event.

Thank you. Yes, the weather was perfect. Mix of overcast and sunshine and a nice breeze keeping things cool. Pretty typical summer weather for the Monterey area in August.

Here are a couple of short video's from the day. It's impossible to really get a sense for how visceral the sound is from these machines. Even with ear plugs in, you felt them through your whole body.

Thanks for sharing, those are beautiful pro pictures. I’ve been a few times for the long weekend. Laguna, Concorso Italiano, Pebble. Always a great time!
