The suspension bracket is rubbing against the wheel when taking left turns only.
This has not been a problem in the past, although there is only 40 mi on car. We recently took off the calipers and rotors to do a pinion seal replacement and now have been noticing this problem.
Did read some other threads about a similar issue and noticed some members asking if an alignment was done. We did a rough alignment and the car seems to steer straight while driving.

this is a 3 link right? Either grind away some of the bracket or use a 1/4" wheel spacer.

Not out of the ordinary on a 3 link; just grind a bit of the bracket to provide clearance at the rim.

Get out the grinder
(and paint!)

Thanks all,
Just wondering, what is the explanation for why the suspension bracket and the wheel are contacting on a turn? When the car is not moving there is maybe 2-3 mm between the bracket and wheel. I get that turning applies a force that closes up that gap but my thought process is that the bracket is mounted to axle and the wheel hub on the axle mounts the rim, so how can those two come in the contact. Both of their positions seem fixed to me.
Is it possible that something can be loose and causing this? Going to check that and ensure all bolts are at spec.

Depending how tightly the lim slip in the diff is shimmed, there can be some small movement of the wheel/axle. Also don't forget that even though it's all steel, stuff flexes. It seems stationary to us but, we have no way to apply any significant force to the wheel/tire.

Grinded the bracket down today. Tested the car and still getting contact between the bracket and wheel. A bit less rubbing at least. Maybe can grind it more but let me know if anyone has any ideas outside of grinding it down.

Wheel spacers available 1/8, 1/4, etc.
Is the rear end centered? The panhard bar can be adjusted to move the rear end left and right.
