Now that the registration process is complete, I am moving on to attaching the plates. As California requires two plates I am looking for ideas and location. Back in 2003 there was a vendor who sold a bracket, anyone know who that was? Or any current venders who sell something?
Thanks,
Doug

I figured the odds of me getting a ticket are low and if I get one it’s still worth not putting a plate on the front.

Texas requires two plates also, so I have both on the rear one on top of the other:D
I've never ran a front plate on any of my street rods, Cobras, or classic cars going back 45+ years and can say I've never been stopped for it. Been stopped a few times asking if they could have a look at my car, always apologetic and very polite about it.
I'm not junking up the front of my car.
No front plate! That's what I did on my Mustang for years even though MO requires two plates. I did get pulled over once and got a warning. That was it.
Your car looks better without it and you can feel good sticking it to The Man! A hot car and a rebel. Double cool.

Glad you guys get a choice. We would be nailed in an instant by the squiggly tails down here.

Required in Colorado as well.
I've probably run 10 cars without it, and ONLY gotten PARKING tickets in downtown Denver as a result.
I have a magnetic setup on my Audi RS7 so I can just place it while parked, then remove when I leave. Having said that, there's no way in hell I'm parking ANYTHING I own there anymore, so not an issue.
NEVER been pulled over for it, and NEVER been mentioned or cited if I've been pulled over for......um... other stuff.

Easy fix----take your front plate, throw it on the ground, now run over it a couple of times. Now just toss it in the trunk, if you get pulled over, show to to the officer, explaining it just fell off.

This was suggested to me by a retired officer about 10-12 years ago..
I have had to present it three times during those years...
So far, I have received a warning ticket, a verbal recommendation to get it fixed, and a huge grin with a laugh.
My plate still has the optional broken bracket that is on a "forever backorder"

I've never even thought about putting on a front plate.
I'm more worried about the MUSIC it makes!

Required in NH as well. So I laid it flat inside the radiator opening. :-)
If you zoom in you can see it there:

I know try risking it but with a new, on the road cobra I did this for NY state requirement. Set back in a bit so not as noticable and it does NOT seem to affect cooling with my 302, whether during lots of parade idling or open road. Just a simple aluminum angle between the front frame horns.217598

Leave it off or move to NC where they don't have one.

Built my car in Southern California... For 14 years, never installed a front plate and never got stopped. Moved to Tennessee... No front plate required !!!

Live in CA and with past cars I've gone multiple years without a front plate and never got pulled over for it. If you start paying attention to the other cars on the road you might be surprised how many also don't have front plates

This solves both issues. Plate installed but out of view
