What is the thread type (M14x2 or M14x1.5) for the rear wheel lugs on a MK4 with IRS?

Should be 1/2-20.

I just brought some new lug nuts for a MK4 with IRS I can confirm they are 1/2-20 all around.
Should be 1/2-20.

Assuming the builder swapped the wheel studs with 1/2x20 studs. Pull a lug from a front wheel, which is 1/2×20 and see if it threads onto the rear.

The IRS kit for my hot rod came with new 1/2x20 studs to replace the metric ones that came in the axle carriers. At the time I had decided to install new hub bearings so the press out/press in exercise was easy to do.
