Checking in with the knowledge base....

Is this too high for the filler neck / radiator cap? Boig pipes on 427 for reference.

I'm sure I could cut down the hose some to make it lower if needed. Anyone else need to do that with their setups?

It's fine

You definitely want the fill cap to be the highest point, but I wouldn’t want it any higher than that. If you haven’t filled it I would cut it down just a bit, but if you have filled it just wait and see how close it gets to the hood once you have one. If you had to cut it then just drain out a half gallon of coolant, trim it and refill. No big deal.

But I agree with Rich, it’s probably fine.

I think I cut about 1 inch off of the 90 degree hose on the engine side. It had 4” legs so not sure if yours is the same length.

Like Rich said, its probably fine, but if you haven't filled it with coolant yet, I'd cut an inch of height off of it. That's what I did on my 427.

Thanks guys - LOTS easier to cut an inch off of it now then it will be later!

Sorry to hijack this thread, I have a related question.

Short of hood interference/clearance is there even such a thing as the filler being too high?

The hood is curved, not flat, secondly, the hood sets even with the body, and the body sets about 3/4 to 1" above the frame. There is no problem cutting the hose, that works too, but it's already installed, so not necessary to remove and cut it.
Earl, no you can have it has high as you like
