I have the Viofo A119 in all of our cars. They're reliable, video quality is pretty good, and they withstand got summers and cold winters.

I don't have mine fully installed yet. I went with Auto-Vox V5PRO. Combination rear view mirror, backup cam and dash cam. Not much of a recommendation since I really haven't used it yet. However, I have bech tested it and I like the operation and features.

Hey Lew... check my build link on my front and rear dash cam install. Both linked together and both 4k resolution.

I’m using 2 different brands of dash cams. A Garmin 47 in my Roadster and a Kenwood DRV-A301W in my 4Runner. Picture quality is about the same between the 2 when watching it on a desktop.
The Garmin 47 saves mp4 files in 1 minute blocks, which kind of sucks. There use to be a desktop player for it, but I believe the 47 has been replaced now with the Mini 3 and any support for the 47 seems to have stopped. Apparently from what I have been reading, Garmin support isn’t that good for older models.
The Kenwood is actually easier to setup from the camera menu’s and saves mp4 files in 1, 3 or 5 minute blocks, which is a lot easier to watch on a desktop.
Both have apps that can be download to your phone so you can interphase with the cameras, I haven’t tried this, so I can't say whether its worth it.
One recommendation is to look for a dash cam that has an anti-glare polarizing lens, on both of my cameras you do get reflections depending on where the sun is and in the dark with oncoming lights.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up getting the Rove R2-4K Dual. It seems to work well and hopefully it will hold up.
