This is my first experience with the IRS parts and after drilling the 5/8" hole and removing the ears on both parts, I noticed one of them is missing a bushing. Does anyone know if this is a part I can install, or do I need a new knuckle?

The missing part actually looks like a bearing vs. a bushing.

Haven't seen that before and I've had several sets of those. Ford does call it a "Toe link bushing." Not real expensive but looks like sold in pairs. Didn't have luck identifying the actual Ford part number. But they're out there. Lots of aftermarket versions out there too as performance guys try to take out some of the OE compliance. Including from Ford: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-5A460-M which they call a bearing since it's upgraded. FYI, the link for this part has an instruction sheet that shows how they're pressed in. Are these new Ford Performance catalog knuckles, https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-5970-M? If so, I'd be talking to Factory Five and even Ford Performance. Although a little tough since they're already cut and drilled. Good luck.

Thanks Paul. Yep, these are new from FFR. I'll see if they are willing to send me a replacement, but I'll just get the bushing and press it in if they don't.

I went ahead and just ordered a set of replacements rather than trying to get FFR to remedy the missing bearing since I'd already modified the part.

I talked to FFR today and apparently I'm not the only one that this has happened to. I'm waiting to see what the solution will be, but it sounds like they may send me a bushing that I will get pressed in locally.
