I know there’s lots of info around here about oil pans, it can make my head spin.

I have a simple explorer 302 rebuild I’ve done and the factory pan is below the rails.

What’s a simple, easy to acquire pan that I can replace from the underside? Hopefully without breaking the bank. No racing needs, no high performance needs. Just don’t want it to be the first thing that scrapes! Thanks!

I got my pan from Gordon Levy. Comes with pickup, crank scraper, & baffle, and was VERY competitively priced back in 2019. You'll have to replace the stock pickup, but that's pretty easy (even for a noob like me). https://www.ffcars.com/threads/john’s-excellent-oil-pan-adventure.637338/

Inexpensive, plentiful and perfectly acceptable for your described uses is a Fox Mustang pan.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Jeff, it will fit above the bottom of the frame rails?
