I bought the spacers from Forte - just curious how many spacers others have used?
I have the Motor mounts from Gordon L., had to put about .3" worth of spacers to get the oil pan to not set below the frame. It's now fine at the front of the pan, but ever so below the frame at the rear of the pan. I have 3 of the Forte spacers between the trans. mount and the TKX (so .75"). Wondering if others went further with that? (1" or more?) I realize that I'll need to have the driveshaft angle at 1-3 degrees when done....

I used 3 of the 1/4" spacers under the trans with the standard FFR supplied poly engine mounts. That seems to work for most everyone, although you may not need that much since you dropped the engine with different mounts. My 302 with the poly mounts supplied by FFR do position the engine a bit high, necessitating the trans spacers to even it out.
I suggest getting a Klein angle finder (or equivalent). They're about $30 on amazon and worth being able to measure the angles yourself to verify your setup.
Edit: Sorry, I have the 302, not a 427 so my setup isn't of much help here...

You have IRS so the angle isn't much of a concern, the differential doesn't move.

3 spacers from Forte on my build, with FF motor mounts, 427/TKX/IRS. Driveline angles looked fine visually, so I sent it down the road. Never measured the angles, and didn't care. The angles didn't look extreme for the 30 seconds I inspected them, and knew it didn't matter much, because as Rich said, your IRS doesn't move. It's running great.

Same deal here on my Mk4 (still building it). My BP347 oil pan was below the 4" tubes, so I used spacers to raise the engine at the 4 mounting points 0.300". Now the pan is not below the 4" tubes.
I have IRS. I'm installing shims under the trans of at least 3/4". Not sure what my final number will be, but the Klein digital level is great! I leveled the frame then set the level of the engine centerline (not done w/final work on that either).
Have watched many YouTube videos on setting up the driveline. I think Factory Five should provide much stronger guidance in this area. Frankly, it's still not crystal clear.

Not much guidance given because it isn't that much of a concern with IRS. Slide under a rear wheel drive car or truck, is the drive shaft straight or level, no

Having just gone through this (and gotten feedback from many of you) I think they should say exactly what you say in the manual: “get it close, within a couple of degrees and move on with your life if you have IRS.” They could even put “rich said so” in the manual and it would give us noobs a lot of comfort.
