I know this probably isn't for everyone but....
I decided to try and design my own sideview mirror mounts and 3D print them out of ABS.
Took a few tries to get the angle of the dangle right but I finally got it.
I just ordered a set of $15 motorcycle mirrors on Amazon and removed the mounting brackets.
The mirror swivels have a threaded post so I was able to attach them to my 3D printed arms.
We'll see how they hold up. I can always upload the 3D models and have them machined out of billet.

I did exactly the same thing.. but I could never get the printed ones to not vibrate when driving. No amount of stiffness or material choice would fix it. Even cf. just could get any design to be as stiff as a simple piece of aluminum tube.
Good luck with yours!

Yeah, I'm curious about that myself. I did add several chamfers in spots to tray and stiffen it up.
If it doesn't work out I'm not out a lot.

I was just thinking about that. Did you try printing them out of metal? That's what I would do.

I can’t print metal and in any case it was a simple shape to make from old aluminum tubing. Actually much quicker too :)
I’ve printed a fair amount of doodads for my car and have ~10 different filaments (I experiment a lot) but even with many different wall patterns and infill and the best filament.. it was unusable on the road. I was very surprised! As you say it costs basically nothing!
In most cases you can make it work but this was one use case I couldn’t.

I can't either but I know companies that can for a more than fair price.
This was printed in aluminum for around $50.

Looks great!
Are you willing to share the Amazon link to the mirrors and file for printing? May give this a shot!

Well, you guys were spot on. Road test last night to a local car meet and they bounced around like a crackhead..lol
Oh well, It was worth a shot. I'm always tinkering with something.
I'd like a set but for some reason it hurts to shell out $325 for a pair of mirrors

I love my Breeze mirrors. Yes, pricey but they look nice and are functional.
If you want to get your design printed in metal try this company. https://craftcloud3d.com/
