A while back I think Mike Bray mentioned that he is using this water pump https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bra-1650#overview it has a driver side inlet and V-belt Hub height is 5.813 this is not compatible with the gillmer belt drive system that I wanted to use so plan B.
So what I'm curious about is what pulleys and belt systems that are being used. I'm changing things around a bit going to simple pully drive system. I am just using altanator water pump just curious as to what others have done with this combination.

I also used the same water pump as Mike Bray, and bought Gordon Levy's power steering pump and alternator pulley setup. Works great. I had to shim a few pulleys with washers to get them all aligned, but that was no big deal. 550 miles in and it's still working great.

216747Thanks Greg but I'm still a bit concerned with alignment when I attempted to install previous gillmer drive belt and pulleys they were off over a inch. I would have to shim out Dampner an inch just doesn't seem right. Could it be that my aftermarket Dampner is different than stock version? Not that I'm going to change it I'll give Gordon a call today and see if I can get it all worked out. Thanks again.

I just realized that the water pump is for years 70 to 78 my engine # says its a 1989 hope that this is not my problem. This is what summit racing sold me over the phone said it will work with the timing cover I'm using.I guess trust but verify. I've attached a different view hope this helps you see my possible problem.

I forgot, I have a .950" aluminum spacer between my Trick Flow harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley, because I had a similar challenge to yours. You can see it in this picture. I got it from Summit Racing, part number SUM-329707.

Full disclosure, I used a timing belt drive but it was very custom and made to fit.

I ended up designing and machining a custom water pump pulley.

I thought the same thing, so I checked. I have the FlowKooler 1660. Same hub height as yours, though. And mine is counterclockwise rotation, where yours is clockwise.

I really like that look not sure how I could get that made here without blowing my budget.

I just checked and mine is a #1653 clockwise rotation. It is identical to the 1650 except for rotation.

I've contacted Gordon he sent me some pictures of what he thinks I need with the spacer not sure I like it if you don't mind Greg could I use your picture to show him what I would like.

Here is a picture of the difference no bolt hole here seems a bit odd but summit says it's the correct one.216759

Both the 1653 and 1650 are clockwise rotation...also, both the hose inlets are 5/8" on the 1650, while they are 3/4" and 5/8" on the 1653.
