what size rivet nut should I use for body pieces like the duct tail or the side vents

I used 10-24 on some aluminum panels. I had the spoiler on mine glassed in so none on it. There are special riv nuts for plastics

The ones that David is refering to for plastics are plus nuts. They have a larger foot print on the back side compared to rivet nuts.

I tried to use them on the rear spoiler without success. Not enough clearance in the body fold.

I think I used 6/32 for the rear spoiler.
