Hey Gang,

1. My friend Heath was experiencing steering bind that we found was caused by corrosion on the upper steering shaft.
2. I loosened the two set screws in the bearing assembly, removed the wheel and then removed the shaft using a slide hammer.
3. I then polished the shaft with 600 grit sand paper and smoothed the nylon bushing with a small brake hone.
4. After than I sanded the inside of the bushing with 600 grit, cleaned everything, and reassembled it with silicone grease as to not damage the bushing.
5. The problem was easy to address but took a little while longer than expected because my 62 year old body isn't as nimble as I once was.
