Has anybody used the colored rivets I found on the internet through Amazon or anywhere else? I came across them while searching and was thinking out loud that it might be an added tough to use and color coordinate after I have my panels PC. Like a color contrast and something that may pop. At least the rivets you can see when the hood is up.

Cool idea, just make sure you get them absolutely perfect if you're going to draw that much attention to them. Could be a neat look.

I went with black, on black powder coated panels. It’s cool, but a contrast might be cooler. Good luck!

And then cover it all in heat mat and carpet? Although I suppose you'd see a few rivets in the engine bay.

I'm using black rivets from McMaster-Carr for visible panels, which is on my black powder coated panels. I then use an artist paintbrush to paint black the little silver part in the middle where the mandrel breaks off

Definitely worth it to me

You’ll see more than a few in the engine bay. Attention to the small aesthetic details takes a good car to great status.

I used black rivets on hammered gray panels. It looks good. You can see some in my build thread I believe.

I used black where they could be seen. Stainless if I needed strength, and regular ones everywhere else. I tried some red, but the coating wasn't great, so if you didn't pull the rivet perfectly it would chip the coating a bit.

I used black rivets (Pc’d the aluminum black) in the few spots they are seen. They do nick if not pulled 100% correctly, but a black sharpie or paint with a q-tip does nicely.

I had my engine bay panels powder coated a medium/dark gray and used black rivets. Liked the look rather than the stock silver colored rivets.

I did buy and use the larger head rivets on my firewall. But i just got them in Regular Alum finish since that what i want for my firewall as well. i had thought about but didn't trust the finish enough to buy them.
