View Full Version : Starter electrical connection

Theirs a lot of things I'm good at but electical not so much, and my electical helper is out of town for a few weeks. I'm having troubles trying to figure out which terminal to connect which wires :confused:. The Sve starter has no markings as to witch one is the S terminal, positive ECT. I do know where the blue wire connects that's pretty obvious but which terminal do the other wires connect. The RF wiring manual isn't real clear ether. So here I am asking for some help.

One of the big lugs has a wire that connects it to the starter. Don't connect anything to that one. Connect the other big one (usually the top one) to the large battery cable and other red wires. (This is where the other red wires get their constant power from.) The blue one goes to the smaller post, which is the solenoid switch. When the ignition is turned it sends power through the blue wire to energize the solenoid, which then connects the battery power through to the starter.
