Today marks two years since my kit was delivered. After 460 miles of shakedown driving, Today, I finally got an alignment, after doing what turned out to be a very poor 'string alignment' at home some time ago. I know the build can get fatiguing, can be frustrating, even at times you might feel like you want to give up. I've built two of these awesome machines, and Alignment Day is always a nice milestone. Keep grinding on it, my friends! You'll be here soon, and all the blood, sweat and tears (yes, I've had all three on both builds) will be a distant memory. Have a great weekend, everyone! Get out there and wrench! :)

Cool post I needed a little pick me up after working in the garage today. And yes I was crying today!

Congrats! Cant wait…
Well done! Everyone needs a word of encouragement every now and then!
Thanks for this post. I'm at the point where the last 10% of stuff to do seems to take 90% of the effort, so the encouragement is timely.

It’s been fun and helpful following your build! I’m a few months behind you but look forward to the shakedown to start…

I finished my build about 18 months ago and have put about 1600 miles on the car.
I'm in need of an aligment myself. I can see uneven wear on the drivers front tire.
Where did you get your alignment done?
I'm hesitant to take it to any of the local tire shops.
I don't know if they will know what to do with a car like this.

I just took it to a local alignment shop here in my small town. There's nothing unique about the way these cars are aligned; it's pretty straightforward.

Don't take it to a 'big box' retailer. Find a smaller mechanic shop that does alignment, preferably that has a good reputation with the hot rod or racing crowd. Contact some local auto enthusiast clubs and get references. Guaranteed someone knows someone somewhere who can hook you up...you just got to find them.
