I have a MK4 with the old Thunderbird SC IRS. A Heim joint bolt sheard and the entire lower control arm dropped pulling the passenger interior CV axle out. All the problems have been resolved except for replacing the passenger side, inner CV boot. I have searched and searched and can not find a boot that has the molded form like shown in the photo. Maybe someone out there has needed to replace a similar boot and can shed some light on the subject. In the meantime, my Cobra sits begging to be driven.

The Mustang boot does not fit the Thunderbird SC application. Notice that the boot and hub are not round but have three indentations where the boot must fit exactly or the grease will come flying out.

Thanks for the effort.

it looks like the T-bird came with IRS from 1989-97. Have you looked at Rock Auto? I found several part numbers. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,1996,thunderbird,4.6l+v8,1140590,drivetrain,c v+joint+boot,2284

From the photo, it looks like you need the inner boot. Here is a number I found, MEVOTECH DX412. There are other brands as well like Doorman.
